Hutchinson Credit Union is no longer originating Federal student loans.

The Credit Card Act is now in place for American consumers. Overall, we think it's a good set of regulations that will benefit consumers and level the credit card playing field. Many of the provisions of the Act don't affect us here at HCU, as we were already in compliance with them. However, the Act does affect our program a bit, so we wanted to make you aware of these changes.

Did you notice the “bonus” deposit to your membership share account on 2-28-10?

HCU is no longer accepting permanent address changes from the US Postal Service. This means that all members will need to change their address directly with us when they move. Why make our members do more paperwork?

The January HCU VISA and standard statements going out to members at the beginning of February 2010 have numerous changes made to enhance readability and provide a better overall experience.

We at Hutchinson Credit Union have noticed an uptick in fraudulent phishing emails, some of them directly targeted at our members. So, it's a new year and we thought it timely to bring you the following message. And remember, if you are ever in doubt, please contact us first.
