NCUA Increases Share Insurance

As a part of the bailout bill recently signed into law, NCUA has increased the basic share insurance coverage limit from $100,000 to $250,000. This coverage took effect on October 3, 2008 and will stay effective through December 31, 2009. Actual coverage of your accounts can be quite a bit more.
