Statement Changes begininng 2010
The January HCU VISA and standard statements going out to members at the beginning of February 2010 have numerous changes made to enhance readability and provide a better overall experience.
Some of the changes include:
Regular statements
- The statement message is prominently displayed in a blue shaded box at the top of the statement
- The account summary is now at the beginning, not the end, of the statement
- Transaction sections have more noticeable headers and section breaks
- Other minor formatting changes have been made
VISA statements (will continue to be printed on ivory paper, as a visual differentiator)
- The information boxes at the top have been changed to be easier to read, with the most important boxes boldly highlighted
- The statement message has been bolded and added to the top of the statement
- The transaction area now has a shaded background, with bolded headers at the bottom for key fields
- We have dropped the reference number from the transaction area
- We have broken out the amounts in the transaction area into debit and credit columns
- Other minor formatting changes have been made
Overall these changes are an evolution, not a revolution. Our statements are still uncluttered and simple, with no background images to reduce readability. Enjoy!
