The Council on Underserved Communities (CUC) is a Federal Advisory Council created by the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide advice, ideas and opinions on SBA programs, services and issues of interest to small businesses in underserved communities. The main focus of the council is to promote entrepreneurship and business growth in populations such as women, minorities, veterans and other underserved demographics.
The CUC will have their first meeting in July, in Washington DC. Before the first meeting, members of the CUC will hold listening sessions in their regions to hear directly from small business owners and community leaders about how the SBA can better support job creation in underserved communities.
LeeAnn, born and raised in Hutchinson, has first-hand experience in dealing with small business; both as a business advisor and commercial lender for HCU and as a small business owner. LeeAnn is honored and excited to bring the perspective of our communities to Washington.
