HCU Receives Bravo! Award
Hutchinson Credit Union received a Bravo! award from the City of Hutchinson for the renovation of our new Support Center at 4000 N. Monroe in Hutchinson.
The Bravo! award is given to area residents and businesses for the care and pride they show in their properties.
The building at 4000 N. Monroe was formerly known as Hutchinson Heights and was an adult care facility. It had been vacant for a number of years and had fallen into disrepair. The Architect for the renovation was Jim Putnam of Putnam Architecture. The general contractor was Miller Home Builders of Hutchinson. Landscaping was provided by Prairie Hills Nursery. The job was formally completed in October of 2011.
Garth Strand, president of HCU, received the award 6-5-12 at a City Council meeting. Mr. Strand thanked the City Council, and also expressed appreciation for their foresight in re-zoning the property, which allowed HCU to move forward with its rehabilitation. It had formerly been zoned R2, multifamily residential and was re-zoned to commercial in 2010.
