Phishing Scam Alert

HCU members began receiving calls on Tuesday, January 21, asking them to verify card transactions. During the call, an automated system informs the member their pin number needs reset, asks to confirm an international charge, or tells them they are restricted from making international charges. Members are also prompted to enter their card number. This is a phishing scam and members should not supply any information including card numbers.

If members have received this call and didn’t enter any information, no further steps need to be taken. If any HCU members received this call and entered any information, please call our eBranch at 800-428-8472 or stop by any HCU branch.

From time to time, HCU members will receive calls asking them to verify transactions but they will never be from an automated system. Members will never be asked for personal information or their card number.
