Credit Card Act and your HCU VISA
The Credit Card Act is now in place for American consumers. Overall, we think it's a good set of regulations that will benefit consumers and level the credit card playing field. Many of the provisions of the Act don't affect us here at HCU, as we were already in compliance with them. However, the Act does affect our program a bit, so we wanted to make you aware of these changes.

Blocking and Activating HCU Cards via Online Banking
A feature in HCU online banking for all HCU VISA Debit and Credit Cards.
- Block You can block these cards and make them unusable.
- Activation You can activate these cards for use.
- WARNING: Blocking your HCU cards will make them unusable and they may be retained by ATM machines and merchants. Cards that are blocked can not be unblocked. A new card will have to be issued.
- How to Block your HCU Cards
- You must be logged in to your account in Online Banking
- From the Electronic Services menu at the top, select Block/Activate Cards.
- You should now see a list of cards that are on your account.
- Under the Action Field, select the card that you want to Block.
- Once you select Block, you will confirm your action by clicking on the Continue button.
- After confirming your action, please print off the Lost/Stolen form, fill it out and return it to Hutchinson Credit Union Card Department.
- How to Activate your HCU Cards
- You must be logged in to your account in Online Banking
- From the Electronic Services menu at the top, select Block/Activate Cards.
- You should now see a list of cards that are on your account.
- Under the Action Field, select the card that you want to Activate.
- Once you select Activate, you will confirm your action by clicking on the Continue button.
- After confirming your action, your card has been activated and is ready for use.
