The Hoskinson Family Success Story
When Jessica Hoskinson bought her home in 2013, she was in a unique situation. Jessica, the Economic Development Director for the City of Haven, was considered self-employed and was a first-time homebuyer. She was also working with Interfaith Housing in Hutchinson to apply for a Federal Home Loan Bank grant to assist with her down payment.
Jessica’s unique situation prompted some challenges along the way and sometimes slowed down the mortgage process. “Everyone at HCU was very respectful through the whole process.” Hoskinson says. “They worked to find the right home loan for me.”
Having been a member of HCU for 7 years, it was a natural progression for Jessica to apply for her mortgage with HCU. Once she did, she found the entire staff to be flexible when it came to meeting her unique needs.
Today, thanks to the mortgage department at HCU and Interfaith Housing, Jessica and her two children, Gage and Gabriella, are enjoying their first home in the community of Haven. Jessica is glad she went with HCU saying, “It was a great learning process and everyone was very helpful.”
