Instacheck and New HCU Mobile Banking

We are currently experiencing an issue with Samsung mobile devices and Instacheck Mobile Check Deposit in the New HCU Mobile Banking App.   When trying to enter the dollar amount of a check, members will notice the calculator keypad does not have a decimal point to display cents.  Obviously, this will prevent the dollar amount from being entered properly.  We are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it.  In the meantime, there is a temporary solution.

To fix the issue, download Google Keyboard from the Google Play Store. Once installed on a Samsung mobile device and activated, the calculator keyboard will display a decimal point and function as normal.  

Instructions for downloading Google Keyboard:
1.    Open Google Play Store and search for Google Keyboard
2.    Download Google Keyboard and open the application (the keyboard doesn’t install by simply downloading it.)
3.    Follow the step-by-step on-screen  instructions making sure to complete all 3
             a.    When prompted, make sure to select English Google Keyboard on the list of keyboards

If you had our HCU Classic Mobile Banking App on your device, and never uninstalled it, Instacheck can still be accessed there.  It will function properly.

Currently, this issue is only on Samsung mobile devices.  No other platforms have been affected.  We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to have the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
