Heartland Credit Union was recently honored with an Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding human resource / training and development achievements in the credit union industry.
The award was presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) HR & Organizational Development Council, a national network comprised of 900+ credit union human resource and training & development professionals. Awards are given in each of three categories, including Employee Engagement, Management Practices and Innovative Staff Development.
Heartland Credit Union won the Employee Engagement category for its entry, entitled "Cultivating Culture - It's the Heartland Way." The project was centered on HCU's collaborative work in defining, celebrating, and living its culture.
"Considering the immense amount of innovation and dedication in the HR and Organizational Development field, choosing winners for these awards is never an easy task," said Lisa Baron, CUNA HR & Organizational Development Council Chair and Sr. VP HR/Talent Management at Baxter Credit Union, Vernon Hills, IL. "However, these individuals stood above an already impressive field of candidates as truly exemplary, helping credit union professionals reach their true potential."
Award winners were recognized at the council's 24th annual conference held April 22-25 in Fort Lauderdale. For more information on the Excellence Awards or to view the entire list of winners, go to www.cunacouncils.org/awards.
