Erickson Promoted to VP of Human Resources

Michelle Waln, Chief Culture Officer, is proud to announce Tasha Erickson has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources at Heartland Credit Union. Erickson leads HCU's talent acquisition and retention efforts, along with performance management, compensation programs, benefits administration, employee relations, and more.

"I'm very excited for Tasha in this next step in her career at HCU," said Waln. "Tasha's leadership in the human resources function is vital as HCU continues to strive to be an employer of choice."

Erickson joined HCU in 2011 as Human Resources Director. In 2017 she was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. She previously served as HR Generalist at the Hutchinson Clinic. Certified with both Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRMCP certifications, Tasha also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Friends University. During her time at HCU, Tasha has participated in Building Leaders and CUlead and has earned certificates in conflict resolution and HR data analytics from Cornell University.

Tasha is active in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), including the local Central Kansas chapter, where she has held a number of offices, including president. She has been a mentor in the CUNA HR and Organizational Development Council and has also served on the council's awards program committee. Tasha has served on the allocations committee for United Way of Reno County, has been a Big Sister for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, and was recently appointed a board member for TECH, Inc in Hutchinson.
