EMV cards now being issued to all members

Heartland Chip CardAll Heartland Credit Union non-EMV debit and credit cards are currently being reissued as EMV debit and credit cards. EMV technology makes your HCU credit or debit card more secure and enables it to be used at more places around the world.

All cards are expected to be replaced before the end of 2016.  Once you receive your new card in the mail, please activate it as soon as possible.  Once the new EMV card is activated, please destroy your old card.

  • Be sure to look at all scheduled payments that are tied to your current HCU debit or credit card and update accordingly.
  • Verify that your contact information and address is current in online banking

Visit our EMV page at www.hcu.coop/EMV for an overview, “how it works” and FAQs.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we’re confident you’ll enjoy the added security of your new EMV card.

If you have questions, please check the FAQ tab of www.hcu.coop/EMV or call us at 800.428.8472.
