Haven Branch Manager Julie Caffrey set to retire
Published January 9, 2017
Julie Caffrey, Haven Branch Manager of Heartland Credit Union, is retiring.
The occasion is being celebrated with a retirement open house. The public is invited to join us on Thursday, January 19, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., at the HCU branch located at 103 S. Kansas in Haven.
Julie Caffrey was hired in January 1997, as the Teller for the anticipated Haven Branch; the branch opened in Haven mid-March of 1997 in rented space. On January 1, 1998, Julie was promoted to Branch Manager and has managed the Haven Branch since that time. In 2005, HCU purchased two buildings located at 103 S. Kansas Ave. known by locals as the “Hempstid” buildings. One of those buildings was remodeled into the current lobby and office space. In 2008, the other building’s façade was maintained to keep the “main” street appearance the same as it had been for years and was made into the Drive-Thru. The Haven Branch has four full-time employees and is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 24-hour depository ATM available.
“Julie has been an important part of taking care of HCU members in Haven for 20 years,” notes Dan Springer, HCU President. “Julie’s dedication to the community, HCU and our members has been greatly admired. We thank her for her service and wish her the best in retirement.”
