Heartland Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Michael Lizalde to Vice President of Member Experience. In this new role, Michael will oversee the newly established position of Connections Manager and the eBranch Manager. He will also continue leading our Member Solutions Specialists who focus on outbound sales.

We’re honored to have some of the best and brightest in the financial industry serving our members.  Being able to hire and grow excellent talent is key to providing excellent member service.  Recently, two of our staff members were honored by the Wichita Business Journal as leaders in the financial industry.

Starting September 3, 2024, the Ave A, 23rd and Severance, East Kellogg, Haven, Maize, and Newton branches and our eBranch will operate under new hours. This change will create more consistency across our branch network, allow us to optimize branch and support staffing during peak hours to offer better service, and provide our team with a better work-life balance.

Recently, an issue has come up on Capitol Hill that could affect the financial services members depend on Heartland to provide. It’s important to stay informed about potential threats to credit unions and their ability to provide the best possible financial services.

On Thursday, October 17, Heartland Credit Union joins other credit unions in our community and worldwide to celebrate International Credit Union Day® and the role that financial cooperatives play in improving the communities they serve and the lives of their members. This year’s theme is “One World Through Cooperative Finance”. It speaks to how credit unions and other community-based financial cooperatives are still bringing people together in these divided times to grow financial inclusion and well-being for all.
